SWAG!
Since I was attempting to do “real” marketing for An Ape’s Progress, I decided to make some fun goodies for promotion, add-on sales, and good vibes. We’re talking merchandise, “merch,” tchotchkes, chazzerai, you know: “SWAG!” (stuff we all get).
Along with stickers, buttons, and magnets, I thought it would be fun to get An Ape’s Progress-themed drink coasters, and perhaps even some canvas grocery / tote bags. Tee shirts — the classic merch item — would work well with the album’s artwork, but I decided to wait on tees to minimize cost, complexity of silk-screening and sizing, etc. Maybe soon, if all goes well with the rest of the album campaign. And one day, perhaps Pawlie-branded oven mitts! Okay, maybe not. But maybe!
Anyway…
Along with deluxe-edition CDs and USB music cards, here’s our merch table:
Stickers — 4 x 4-inch standard and holographic stickers featuring the album cover, singles artwork, and the surreal Pawlie portrait. Also 4-inch circular stickers featuring the album cover and guitar-ape graphics.
Buttons — Gotta have buttons! We have three 1.5-inch square designs featuring the album cover and the first two singles, plus 1.5- and 2.25-inch circular buttons featuring the guitar ape.
Magnets — You’re going to need some of our 2-inch square magnets featuring the album cover, right? No fridge is complete without one — or two!
Coasters — Where are you going to put your drink while you listen to An Ape’s Progress? On our AAP cover-art and guitar-ape coasters, that’s where. Cheers!
Canvas Bags — High-quality grocery / tote / paraphernalia bags with AAP album-cover and Crazy Crow (for Joni) artwork designs. Impress all the other shoppers!
